September Meeting of the Irish Information Security Forum

The next meeting of the Irish Information Security Forum will be held on the 30th of September at 14:00 in Buswells Hotel on Molesworth St. Dublin 2.  The topic for the meeting will be “An Overview of Data Loss Prevention”.  This will then be followed by a case study of a real-life implementation of Data Loss Prevention technology.

  • Leonard McCauliffe from Deloitte will give us an overview of Data Loss Prevention, setting the scene for DLP, and talk about development of DLP technology
  • David Cahill from EBS will then give us his experience of a real-life implementation of DLP technology

It promises to be an interesting event and hopefully I will see some of you there.

Next IISF Meeting

The next meeting of the Irish Information Security Forum will be held on the 28th of January at 14:00 in the Oak Room in Buswells Hotel on Molesworth St. Dublin 2.  The topic for the meeting will be “What’s hot in Information Security in 2010″.

I will be addressing the meeting with what I think will be hot for 2010 as will speakers from RITs, Grant Thornton, Espion, Deloitte and Ernst & Young.

It promises to be an interesting event and I look forward to seeing some of you there.

Upcoming IISF Meeting

The Irish Information Security Forum will be holding their next meeting at 15:00 on the 28th of January 2009 in Buswells Hotel, Molesworth Street, Dublin 2.

The topic for the day is “Information Security: Can the Good Guys win?” and will be given by Professor Fred Piper.

The meeting will close at 17:00 with the usual networking in Buswell’s bar.

The meeting is an open meeting and all are invited to attend.  As space is limited, if you wish to attend please email Noel.Comerford@iriss.ie before January 23rd.
