Congratulations to Ice Cream Ireland for winning the Best Business Blog in this year’s Irish Blog Awards. Having tasted the wonderful product produced by Murphy’s Ice Cream while in Killarney last year I can attest to the quality and flavour of their product. So congrats to all involved at Ice Cream Ireland for winning this category for the second year in a row.
A big thank you to Damien who once again pulled out the stops to organise this year’s event. Without his tireless efforts the blogging landscape in Ireland would not be as diverse, colourful or appreciated as it is. Also a thank you to Firstpartners.net for sponsoring the Best Business Blog Category.
While we did not win the event it is great that we made the finals and thanks to all of you who nominated us for the award and to the judges for selecting us for the final. It is nice to know that our blog is appreciated and that we are contributing in whatever small way to making the Internet a safer place for all.

We got some great news today. Our Blog has been shortlisted for the Best Business Blog Award 2008. We are delighted to have reached this stage of the competition, especially given the quality of the other blogs that have, and indeed have not, made it this far.Â
This is the second year in a row that we have made it this far so we are happy to see that we haven’t been a passing fad and that our fan base has stuck by us. Our sincere thanks to those of you who nominated us for the award, to FirstPartners.Net for sponsoring the award and also to the judging panel who decided that we were worthy of the short list.
If you have time I recommend that you visit the blogs of the other finalists;

For the second year in a row this Blog has been long listed in the category for Best Business Blog in the Irish Blog Awards. A sincere thank you to those of you who nominated us and to the judges who felt our Blog worthy of being entered into round 2 of the competition.The other Blogs that have been longlisted into this category are excellent. I recommend you spend some time browsing them.Â
Thanks to Paul Browne over at Firstpartners.Net for leaking the list below onto his People And Technology Blog. In truth I also owe a big thanks to Paul for encouraging me to start blogging in the first place and helping me grasp the intricasies of pings and tracebacks.
